Das Modul Z-FTPcopyII stattet das Backup Programm Z-DBackup oder Scheduler Z-Cron mit der Moglichkeit aus, ein Archiv oder eine Datensicherung auf jedem FTP-fahigen Server (mit der RFC 959-Spezifikation) zu kopieren. Voraussetzung ist ein FTP-Server mit ausreichendem Speicher (vielleicht kein Windows-Host). Konfigurationsangaben fur das Z-FTP-Copy sind: die IP-Adresse fur den FTP-Server, ein gultiges Login und eine serverintegrierte Pfadangabe, wo die Daten gespeichert werden sollen. Das Modul Z-FTP-Copy ermoglicht die Nutzung von heterogenen Speicherumgebungen au?erhalb des Backup Netzwerks als Datensicherungs-Medium. Das Programm ist ein Kommandozeilen Tool, d.h. es wird uber Kommandozeilen Parameter gesteuert . Das ermoglicht eine zeitgesteuerte FTP-Ubertragung mittels des in Windows integrierten Taskplaner oder mittels Z-Cron. Z-FTPcopyII wurde eigentlich als Erweiterung fur Z-DBackup konzipiert, kann aber auch als eigenstandiges Programm zur schnellen und einfachen Ubertragung einer Datensicherung auf einen FTP-Server genutzt werden. Nach dem Start von Z-FTPcopyII ohne Parameter wird das Hauptfenster dargestellt. Von diesem Fenster aus konnen Dateien oder Verzeichnisse auch im direkten Dialog kopiert werden.
